Dr. Scott Nix is our Medical Director and The Atlantes is very appreciative of his leadership and oversight of our post-acute care services.  He leads the clinical operations of Sound Physicians in Cincinnati, Ohio. His responsibilities include regional organizational leadership and operational performance. In his role, Dr. Nix works directly with our hospital partners and hospitalists to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the alignment of performance with partner hospital goals. Scott graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed residency training at The Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati, Ohio.


 Dr. Denver Stanfield is our Rehabilitation Director and is a subspecialist in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at Wellington Orthopedics. He is nationally known for his surgical skill and treatment of complex knee, shoulder and elbow problems. Dr Stanfield is Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and serves as an instructor of Arthroscopic surgery at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago where both domestic and international surgeons come to learn from master surgeons. He serves locally as the team physician and sports medicine director for several local high schools and is a consultant to many other sports teams in the region. Dr. Stanfield’s commitment to excellence and high standards of care makes him a valuable member of The Atlantes Team.


 Dr. Chuck Miller, as he is known by most of his patients, has a busy general orthopedic practice with Wellington Orthopedics and Anderson Mercy Hospital, with concentrations in adult reconstructive, sports, and trauma. He resides in Brown County, Ohio, and enjoys the hometown feeling that he had growing up in Northern Ohio. He is known for his bedside manner, and for taking time with his patients, trying to make his patients as comfortable and knowledgeable about their medical condition as possible. He helps out with many of the teams in the Brown and Adams county schools, has been known to see patients at his home, and on occasion makes house calls. Dr. Miller’s caring approach and expertise makes him a valuable member of The Atlantes Team.
